Conditions and obstacles

Entrepreneurship and small business is often pointed out as important factors for growth, employment and integration. In a recently published knowledge overview on Immigration and business, the research and knowledge in the field of immigrant entrepreneurship is presented and discussed, both from a swedish as well as a international perspective. In the coming years Sweden is standing with the challenge of employment and newly arrived´s integration on the swedish labor market. This report is aiming at presenting a view of the conditions for immigrant entrepreneurship in Sweden today.

The authors behind the report are Craig Mitchell and Tobias Schölin from Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship, Lund Univeristy School of Economics and Management together with Martin Klinthäll, Zoran Slavnic and Susanne Urban from Linköping University.

Delmi – an independent commitee that initiates studies and pass on research results that could effect the future decisions and debate regarding migration politics – has published the report.
